TODAY IS THE 1ST DAY OF THE REST OF MY LIFE.

It means you are not limited by your past. If you wanted to be something or do something today is the first day in the sense you can chose to be in this moment and make a choice. It reflects that the past is gone unchangeable and inaccessible, and tomorrow, also infinitely far from this moment that you can choose to do whatever you want. You are a free autonomous being and the only limitations you are facing are the ones you have set.

So go and chase your heart, do what it is you truly want to do, this is not a dress rehearsal not a practice run this is your only life and you are spending it as we speak.
